Bumper stickers are an interesting phenomenon. They’ve become a way for drivers to broadcast their own brief message to the world. Although stickers are probably bought with a sense of humor, still they allow the drivers to display an image of themselves for all to see. A few samples are:
“Life’s a bitch, then you die.”
“I brake for hallucinations.”
“The one who dies with the most toys wins.”
“Are we having fun yet?”
“I refuse to grow up.”
Psychiatrist Dr. Joseph Pursch, well known for his work in the treatment of addiction, reports seeing one sticker that made a public confession: “My other car went up my nose.”
A few stickers give advice we can all use in our own ways, “Take it easy” is one. “Turn it over.” is another.
When you identify yourself, be sure you use your right name.
