But just how happy or unhappy you are with the personality you have and the life you have been dealt is largely a matter of how well you play your cards. It won\u2019t help to hope for a reshuffling of the cards, a new hand, or a better deal.<\/p>\n

Fighting fate, trying to will what cannot be willed, complaining that life\u2019s not fair is useless complaining that simply invites needless suffering.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s enough to experience the suffering that\u2019s absolutely required without whining, \u201cWhy me? Why did this have to happen to me?\u201d Complaining can become a way of boasting about how much suffering you can endure.<\/p>\n

When problems arise, the only really useful question is, \u201cWhat do I do now?\u201d<\/p>\n

Life isn\u2019t fair, but how we react to adversity does make a difference.
