\"BluesAintNothingBookCover\"<\/a>WHEN WE are truly giving to others, we do so without expecting a reward in return. It is gratifying to find that when we are in need, we can count on them to reciprocate. Still, there are other kinds of rewards than receiving in return.<\/p>\n

Often, we feel satisfied simply by experiencing the pleasure of having eased their suffering. Also, there may be a ripple effect that is gratification enough. That happens when we give to people in a way that makes them feel sufficiently abundant to provide for others in need, others we may not even know.<\/p>\n

The sweetest instance of this chain reaction is in nurturing families. We give to our children without expecting them to respond to us in kind. Instead, knowing the pleasure of having been well cared for, they pass on to their children what they\u2019ve gotten from us.<\/p>\n

However indirectly, what goes around comes around.
