I tried everything they said, but nothing helped for long. I am still unhappy.\u201d She had actively transferred responsibility for management of her life from one professional caretaker to another, firing the most recent helper to go off in search of someone else with better magic. Ever hopeful, she went on being unhappy and suffering repeated disappointments.<\/p>\n

Finally, she met someone who knew a few answers and a few tricks, but who said he wouldn\u2019t help her. She pleaded on many occasions, but to no avail. \u201cYou\u2019re not giving me the answers again today!\u201d she would exclaim. \u201cWhy won\u2019t you tell me what to do? You act like what I do with my life is all up to me!\u201d She paused, hardly believing what she had just said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you mean to tell me that this is all there is to it? I spend all these years trying to find someone to look after me and then end up giving myself the answer- that I have to run my own life?\u201d<\/p>\n
