Understanding that these obsessional thoughts are not rational will not make them go away.<\/p>\n

Looking forward to a day off is no better. Instead we must face each day as it comes, do what we need to do, and take time out when we need to relax.<\/p>\n

Curiously, the horrors of being reduced to some kind of infantile dependency may seem appealing. And although our nondisabling, garden-variety neurosis is moderately distressing, we don\u2019t have to go crazy before we are allowed to rest. That\u2019s no way to take a vacation.<\/p>\n
